Hell on Heels

Hell on Heels

As Mr. J and I were paying off debt we realized we enjoy driving a paid for, functional car. Sports cars are fun and impressive, but hard for carrying groceries home in the trunk. Our Pontiac GTO is fun, fast and sleek but not very practical. It averages 18 MPG and is expensive to maintain. … Continue reading »

Treasureable Trash

Over the weekend my running coach held a Police and Firefighters Memorial Day 5K. I planned to ride my bike to the event and help out. It’s no surprise that I was completely lost trying to get to the 5K. (I’m notorious for getting lost on my bicycle) However, I did find a great garage sale. … Continue reading »

Two of my favorite Financial Coaches (and now friends) visited my Wounded Warriors to talk about budgets, transition and emergency savings. Steve from MoneyPlanSOS.com and Scott from FocusedIntensityCoaching.com generously gave their time to coach a group of Wounded Warriors. Steve went over prioritizing a budget and Scott talked about behavior. Towards the end of the … Continue reading »

Around noon, we stopped at my favorite Waffle House on I-10 in Beaumont, TX for lunch. I love the Waffle … Continue reading »

My husband and I recently attended a charity event (I’m not going to say which one). I mailed a check to a Post Office Box mentioned on the invitation to purchase our tickets. A few weeks after the event I received an email that said they never received my check. They asked me to write … Continue reading »

Polish Change

Polish Change

Every Sunday I sit down to watch Celebrity Apprentice and paint my nails. Painting my own nails is relaxing and cheaper than going to the salon. Plus I have the nail polish to fix any midweek chips. If I decide to go to the salon I get the $8 polish change. If I’m going on … Continue reading »
